My role

Shared creative direction and production with Johanna Jurgens, through Two Bites. Across episodes, my responsibilities also include scripting, pre-production, cinematography, editing and post-production coordination.

The idea

JIM’s testimonial films center on the people behind small businesses. Their working environments give the stories context, connecting what they say with what they do every day.

The decisions

We pair interviews with portraits and observational footage of each business in motion. The pace of a kitchen, a barber’s concentration and everyday customer interactions give each film its own character. Those details connect the testimonials to real experience. The direction follows the people and their routines, giving their stories room to shape each episode.

My contribution

Johanna and I produce the series from initial development through final delivery. I stay involved across scripting, preparation and filming, taking on cinematography for some episodes and working with a camera crew on others. In post-production, I edit and work with the wider team, connecting client feedback with the creative direction. That continuity helps us protect the story, maintain our production standards and bring each episode to a consistent finish.
